Our Services
Whole-house refurbishments handled by one team, from first strip-out to the final coat.
A full renovation is a big undertaking, and it is one of the things we enjoy most. Taking a tired, dated or neglected house and turning it into a home that works for the family living in it is hugely rewarding, and it is the kind of project Prince Builders have been delivering across Woking and Surrey since 1998.
Renovating a whole property pulls in almost every trade there is: builders, electricians, plumbers, plasterers, joiners, kitchen and bathroom fitters and decorators. The difference between a smooth renovation and a stressful one usually comes down to how well all of that is coordinated. That is exactly what we do. You get one team and one point of contact, not a phone full of separate numbers to chase.
Whether you have just bought a doer-upper, inherited a property that needs modernising, or simply want to update a house you have lived in for years, we will work out a plan that suits your budget and how you want to live.
How It Works
We come out, take a proper look and talk through exactly what you have in mind.
You get a firm price and timescale in writing, with honest advice on planning and building control.
One settled team handles the whole job, keeps the site tidy and keeps you updated throughout.
We hand over a clean, finished job you are proud of, fully guaranteed.
We start by walking the house with you and listening to what you want from it. From there we put together a clear scope and a realistic budget, room by room, so you can see where the money is going and decide what matters most to you. Some people want everything done at once; others phase it over time, and we are happy to work either way.
Once we are underway, we project-manage every trade so the work happens in the right order. First fix electrics and plumbing go in before walls are closed up, plastering follows, then the second fix, kitchens, bathrooms and decorating. Sequencing matters, and getting it right is what stops a renovation dragging on or trades tripping over each other.
Where the work involves rewiring or replumbing, it is signed off properly. Where it touches the structure of the house, we handle that side too. If your renovation includes taking walls out or going open-plan, our structural alterations team takes care of the steel and the building control sign-off as part of the same job.

No two renovations are the same, and the scope is led by the house and by you. A full refurbishment might mean a complete rewire and new central heating, fresh plaster throughout, new flooring, and a top-to-bottom redecoration, along with a new kitchen and one or more updated bathrooms as part of the whole-house job.
Period properties need a gentler, more careful hand. Restoring an older home means respecting the features worth keeping, original cornicing, fireplaces, doors and floors, while quietly bringing the wiring, plumbing, insulation and heating up to modern standards. We are used to working in older houses across Surrey and treating them with the care they deserve, rather than ripping out character that cannot be replaced.
A renovation lives or dies on trust and organisation. Here is what we bring to yours.
A good share of our whole-house renovations are the larger period and family homes around Ascot, where this kind of careful, top-to-bottom refurbishment is often needed. We are based in Woking and work across the rest of Surrey and South West London too. We take on the same whole-house work in Woking, Camberley, Cobham, Weybridge and Virginia Water, where the housing runs from Victorian terraces through to substantial post-war detached homes.
If you are weighing up whether to take a tired house on, talk to us early. We can walk it with you and give you an honest read on what it needs before you commit.
